Napoleon
Yes, he's French, but his last battle was fought just south of Brussels in Waterloo. He was defeated by Wellington and his allies. We went to the reenactment in June 2009 and ended up with a great viewing point on the French side of the battleground - Napoleon rode past us several times!
National Basilica
Koekelberg Basilica is the National Basilica of Belgium, located in Brussels. Sonya went on a tour of it - it is massive, filled with stained glass windows, and beautiful.
