St. Peter's Square

St. Peter's Square is peaceful and beautiful - we made two trips there during our stay in Rome.  We marveled at the statuary and columns and mathematical-ness of the arches.  We ate snacks on the steps. We relaxed and watched the people.  The kids were goofing around while Sonya was taking their picture from a ways back - they didn't know they had been zoomed in on and we finally got a great picture of the three of them together!  Check out the Swiss Guard - they really do dress like that!  Legend has it that Michelangelo designed those outfits - guess you can't tell him that something isn't such a good idea so you just have to live with whatever he comes up with!!
