Bocca Della Verita

Bocca Della Verita means "Mouth of Truth"!  Legend has it that this mouth will snap shut on the hand of anyone who has told a lie or has a guilty conscience.  The kids made Sonya promise to go first when we got here so they could see what might happen, then Amanda and Alex both went but would only use their left hand "just in case".  Then Casey got brave (or didn't think about it...) and put her right hand in.  Curt was so sure of himself that he put BOTH hands in to be tested!  In reality, this is likely a drain cover from the Forum Boarium across the street, but it makes for some good laughs!
