Amanda Gets a Driving Lesson

Since Amanda is 15 1/2 years old now, it seems like a good time to start driving lessons...  In Belgium the driving age is 18 and you cannot start official lessons until you are 16 years 9 months old, so we took advantage of Aunt Joyce's offer of Grandpa Fred's old pickup and the open space out at her house to get Amanda going.  Aunt Joyce even got Amanda a special driving book put out by UPS (she works there) to get her started and get her thinking about all the things you have to watch for to drive safely!  Thanks Auntie Joyce!  Then Auntie Joyce stepped up to give the first big lesson as well - what a brave woman!  Guess it can't be any worse than when she drove with Sonya while she was learning (it's faster around those corners, right?!).  Amanda did a great job, taking her time to soak up what we told her and starting out a bit cautiously.  Then she got more comfortable and made a great finish for her lesson.  When she was done she got to get into the pool with her brother and sister...
