Bird Prints

Very early one Saturday morning, Sonya was awakened by a loud THUMP on our house - she went to check it out but found nothing unusual at the time...

But when we got up a bit later and went downstairs, we saw the reason for the thump!

We had recently washed these large windows on the back of the house (Alex did the outside, Sonya did the inside).  We did it so well that this bird apparently did not see the window and flew into it in full flight!

We could not find the bird anywhere - much to our surprise it was not lying dead at the base on the window.  We hope the bird has gone on to better days and learned it's lesson about windows!

Now we have to wash the window again...
